What I should sculpt with?

I’m having some serious issues with the idea I showed You in my last note.

As I told You already, I’m not sure what material I should use to prepare base.

I’ve been thinking about using Sculpey, but to make such big base, the cost would be way too high. I also found Milliput putty, which also could be used to sculpt, but it’s expensive as well- making base for those two figures would cost as much as buying one new kit. Typical modeling clay, which I can afford, is way too fragile.

I’m looking for any help in finding less expensive modeling material, which will be durable/stone-hard after drying.

Any ideas?

Diorama?

Record of Lodoss War dioramaSince I’m really unpatient person and I’m going to got both Deedlit and Pirotess kits, I thought it may be fun to put them together in one piece.
I’m not sure, if I can call this diorama, but that was first word which came to my mind.

Here’s quick sketch I’ve done in openCanvas5 to show my idea. Any suggestions are welcome 🙂

I’ve been thinking about materials as well. As for now, my idea is to sculpt base with Super Sculpey, or Sculpey LivingDoll. But first I need to get them. It isn’t going to be easy, nor cheap.

Though, I have no idea, if I’ll ever find place to put them in my room in way they won’t get damaged by any accident 😐

Cheers!

Pirotess will arrive soon?

Accidentaly, while browsing my shopping information I found this:

Last time I’ve checked, estimated arrive date was 29 of June. According to this message in my account information and on product’s page she’s already in stock! ^_^

Two days ago I recieved Deedlit, for which I waited since end of March, and in next two weeks I’ll recieve Pirotess? That’s awesome news!

Now I only need to find time to assemble them all 😛

Large wishlist

Even after [with help of my Boyfriend] I removed about 30 kits from my wishlist at E2046.com, I’m still having 50 kits on it.

Buying such collection would cost me about 3000$. I should start gathering money 😉

But, being serious, this hobby is one of most addicting I’ve ever had. Still, as long as it’s enjoyable, I’m going to keep making kits 🙂 Though, I’ll need much more free space for finished works.

I hope You are enjoying Your hobbies as well 🙂
