New Gallery – Moonstone Rathalos Armour Hunter

Here’s my latest finished kit. It took me a while to finally put it together.

I have weak spot for opal and moonstone, so I decided to give Rathalos such unique colour scheme.

The kit is hand-painted with acrylics (Army Painter, Vallejo, Green Stuff World, Daler-Rowney Pearlscent effect: Shimmering blue).
Metal parts are painted with Mr. Metal Color (Stainless and Dark Iron).
I’ve decided to make contrasting base, hence why it’s full or warm and bright colours.
Water is made of Vallejo’s Polyurethane Gloss Varnish.
Dried lavender flowers were dyed with copic marker (Poppy. I squeezed marker to get ink into glass jar and added alcohol. I put lavender there to get it dyed).
Branches are from apple tree from my backyard. Static grass and islandmoss were used (coloured with copic as well).

Sculpted by Cerberus Project.

Enjoy!

New Gallery – Komainu from Rising Sun

Here’s latest painted figure – Komainu from Rising Sun board game (Polish edition I’ve got).

I decided to go with game’s original colour scheme for this one, so it’s basically whole made in pale gold. I wanted to add some more contrast, hence why bricks on base are red and I added static grass with colourful petals.

New Galleries, HUGE UPDATE!

Long time no see, huh?
I’m terrible at it.
Finally I managed to photograph some figures I painted recently.
My favourite Dark Souls family is finally together:

I finished Ciaran first, you could’ve seen her here:

Today I present to you more pics of finished Artorias and Sif;

Sir Artorias, the Abysswalker

Great Grey Wolf Sif

All three are sculpted by IKEGAMI, available from Mouse Unit.

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL.

Here’s Horned Frog, small kit sculpted by 大山竜, which I’ve got from my friend Acidraw

BUT WAIT, THERE’S STILL MORE!

In previous epoch, Steamforged Games LTD came up with Kickstarter campaign for Dark Souls: The Board Game. Which I backed.
The game came with pretty neat miniatures and I just painted one of them, the Dragon Slayer Ornstein

[I’m just salty, because it takes them ages to release the game and their services are shady.]

Well, that’s all for today. Hopefully I’ll be able to show some more stuff soon.
At least I keep fingers crossed for that. Yeah.
Enjoy!

Something different – Package from Ranalcus

It isn’t typical post you see here.
No worries, there’re two GK minis finished, one far in progress, they’ll get their galleries soon.

But this time, something truly magical happened.
Ranalcus, who’s affiliated with Fejwsi Figure Collection sent me this fabulous package full of goods ♥

His packages usually contains Gunpla models, mini 4WD cars, modeling tools, figures, manga, anime, games and such.
Here are contents of mine package (keep in mind, I’m huge noob when it comes to various fandoms, so I have no clue what I’m looking at really often) :

This kind of model is something new for me, but it just makes me even more excited to put it together. The fact it actually moves makes it even better 😀 Though I guess the most excited is my father, who always wanted to get any of those.

I don’t know anything about Gundam universe. It’s not like I don’t like it or anything, I just never really had any opportunity to get into it. Still I’m looking forward to learn more and build this one 😀 I already promised WIP pics and that I’ll actually paint this one and that mini4WD model (Meaning: no lazy, straight forward from package building).

Sangokushi Taisen TCG deck. I have no idea, yet it’s definitely my kind of stuff art-wise
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I need to explore this topic further, later.

I have no damn clue what to say about this one. Loli, nekomimi, sketches. Two brochures. Not my kind of stuff, but I think I know someone who’ll know more about (I’m looking at you, Frono).

Sengoku Basara on DVD and Limited Edition of Evangelion:1.01. There’s not much to say. That’s my kind of stuff ♥

Bunch of sanding paper holders. Package contains said holders and sanding paper with glue. I mean, so you can cut pieces and stick to those holders. For real. Those geometric shapes are definitely going to help me while building those models I’ve just got.
And there’re magazines and book.
Most of you probably heard about Replicant magazines – those contain figure photos, some GK building tips.
But what took most of my attention, is How to build Garage kit vol.1 book from Model Kingdom. On ~150 there’s explained whole process of creating a GK master, as well as how to make casts. Lots of sculpting techniques, tips and such. Definitely I’m going to read it through.

Last, but not least, there’s limited edition of Doki Doki Majo Shinpan 2 Duo (どきどき魔女神判2) for NDS. The idea for the game is bizarre, I need to check it out 😀
The amount of content in box is quite enormous. I wish I could have writing skills to describe everything I found there properly. But I don’t. I’m amazed how much effort they’ve put into making those special items.

So that was first package I’ve received, for which I’m grateful ;_; ♥ Thank you ♥

Next update should contain GKs.
Enjoy!
