Dark Angel Olivia from E2046

Because E’s contest is still running (due to rules, I can’t show my entry before certain date) and I had small vacation recently, I don’t have much to show you. But, since I was asked to show pics of my cast, after I left it 3/10 rating, I’ve decided to share them with you.

Maybe I expected too much, but in my opinion it’s one of the worst kits I’ve bought at E (Pirotess was the worst. Unfortunately, I didn’t know that back then and gave quite high rating. Maybe something changed in this matter, since I bought her years ago). Or at least the worst Antihero I’ve got.
Looking at this kit and each part makes me want to put her away and never look back.
That’s probably because I was REALLY looking forward to get this kit.
I’ve paid US$ 85.31 in total for her (Price: US$ 56.02 | Shipping Price: US$ 27.29 (+ US$ 2.00))  and while I bought and pre-paid her, she was 11.69$ cheaper, because they’ve raised shipping cost later (which I had to pay, obviously).

For such price, I demand higher quality. Small parts and crystal parts makes me want to cry. On one of pics you can see part of skirt from Raqel Gothic compared to Olivia’s clear parts. They were misty, not really clear and still sanded by workshop. Small parts have large tabs making them harder to remove. I’ve tried to show how her skirt parts doesn’t fit and while trying I managed to break one skirt part (trust me, I really tried to be delicate). Also, looking at her hair… Just ugh. A lot of work ahead of me.

It’s not like I’m only bashing their casts. For example, if you’re having spare cash – you should get their Naruga X Hunter. It’s great, large kit, well casted without fitting issues. Just large tabs, which is usual for E.

Hopefully I’ll be able to show some real WIP soon.

Take care~!

Sigrid of the Thorn

Here she is, finished. Antihero from E2046, painted with Vallejo Model Color and Winsor & Newton’s acrylics. With a little addition of glitter (Visible on the water. Yes, I really sucked at photographing it). Handpainted and airbrushed.
That’s something rarely for me, but I really like how I painted her eyes. While I screwed airbrushing skin. I need to learn a lot about airbrushing.

Enjoy.

WIP Gallery Update – Sigrid of the Thorn

She’s almost done and this is last WIP part. I should be able to take photos this week.

I’ve decided to airbrush most of her. Because I have to learn how to airbrush. Somehow. I still don’t like it at all (airbrushing) and I can’t make lines I want but someday I’ll learn it… Right? Probably not, but I need to keep trying. Besides the fact, handpainting skin is really boring.

Enjoy!

New WIP Gallery – Sigrid of the Thorn

Though it started whole section of Sigrid’s WIP, there’s just a little frog flying on fork. Oh my, this kit is so awesome in such details~!
This time I’m using Winsor & Newton’s acrylics, because I don’t have any good Vallejo’s greens.

I’d post more, but I’m working on drawing commission with tight deadline – that’s my excuse, why I haven’t post anything in March (besides the fact Dark Souls 2 and Diablo 3 expansion came out in March).
Next week I should be able to work more on this kit. And to paint Mr. Crab.

By the way, I exceed 1000 photos on this blog. That’s… Quite a lot, don’t you think?

Enjoy.

New WIP Gallery – Diabolus Unglate

It’s been quite a while from my last post. I was busy sanding pieces. But I’ll have something to post soon.

Anyway, here’s first look at one of lastest E2046’s projects – Antihero series: Diabolous Unglate. When I saw her as PVC for the first time I was like “OMG, I want her as GK” and here she is!

I finished prep work for her already, just need to take proper photos of primed parts. Soon!
Enjoy.
